Every day, children are abused by their parents and bullies at school. Some people may say the abuse is only physical, but that is not true. Emotional and physiological abuse is very common. Ignoring children’s needs, putting them in unsupervised, dangerous situations, or making a child feel worthless or stupid are also child abuse. Other myths are that childhood abuse only happens in “bad” families or strangers. Many victims of childhood abuse are abused by close people such as their family and friends. Childhood abuse can be easily prevented by recognizing that childhood abuse is happening everywhere and by raising awareness throughout your community. We also have people in the group in both places who have suffered physical abuse. So this is a very close topic to some of us. We created this link to help end abuse soon
